Prize Fighter is the tale of an undefeated bare-knuckle fighter who became a legend in America's Old West - a true story about a larger-than-life character, Bob Fitzsimmons, who rose from obscurity in Cornwall to become the first Englishman to be crowned world heavyweight boxing champion. On the way, he attracted a huge following, lost a fortune, married four times and was imprisoned on a murder charge.One of America's first sporting superstars, his brawls were witnessed by sheriffs and bounty hunters such as Wyatt Earp and Bat Masterson.
